Our products are only available to Landlords who entrust the care of their investment properties to a Real Approved Property Management Company.
We do not provide insurance for private landlords self-managing their properties.

Our Story

Real Landlord is New Zealand’s first specialist Landlord Insurance Policy provider. Formerly known as Terri Scheer Insurance Ltd, Real Landlord Insurance was established in New Zealand in 2003. The Landlord Preferred Policy was specifically designed by Terri Scheer in Australia to protect the interests of landlords and their investment properties. Since 2006 Diane Nelson, ANZIIF (Assoc) CIP, and Property Management expert, has owned the company and the Landlord Policy.

Our team  have enjoyed careers in both Property Management and Insurance, providing them with a unique insight into the insurance needs of this industry.
